Thinking of getting one of these. Really the first Emerson that suits me. Most seem too big, and I'm not a fan of chisel grinds. So, I'd like to hear from owners, and show off your pics if you got them. Even though it seems a bit overpriced, I might get this for myself for Christmas.

Get one!
I had a MC and sold it, just because, the 7 is THE Emerson.

I've had a couple of them. Sold or traded them off because they didn't quite fit my hand. The knives themselves were fine. As you mentioned, they aren't chisel ground like the 7s are. They're V-ground with the traditional Emerson "one-side-only" sharpened edge. Mine were both a bit stiff opening in the beginning but they did loosen up some. F&F was good on both, lockups were both early and solid. The edge was easy to maintain because of the way Emerson does his edges. I like the "one-side-only" technique and my Emersons stay razor sharp with very little maintenance needed.

The problem with the micro-Coms for me is that the opening hole was smaller than I like and a little too far back for comfort and dependability when I tried to open them. I'd probably be fine with a mini-Com, but I've got a mini-15 that I carry when I want an Emerson and I don't think anything else is going to replace it.

Considering how well the Mini Commander fits my medium sized hand, I don't think I would be satisfied with a Micro Commander. Although the deep index finger choil will definitely make it feel like a bigger knife than it is, and the Commanders already have great ergonomics.
