Emerson Mini 7 handle swap with Mini Commander

i have a mini 7 and im goin to be buying a mini commander very soon, would it be possible to put the blade of the mini 7 on the mini commander handle? has this been done? is this weird cuase i really like the handle of the mini commander!:cool:

i think this would look badass!!!:cool:

There is few if any blades that will just fit into another handle with out some sort of modifaction
so I doubt it. If its something you want done permanently then it would probably be do-able.

There is a few blade handle swap overs that would be pretty cool actually :)
 
i think the best thing to do is maybe email EKI to see if this is a possible swap and what kind of mods would be necessary if needed!

UPDATE!!

Dear Sir,

Unfortunately, we cannot modify our production models. The specs and measurements of the Commander and CQC7 are completely different and cannot be swapped. You may, however, like our CQC-15 model which is a combination of our CQC-7 and Commander design.

If you do really want it done I think your best bet will be to get someone make a commander handle for a 7 blade.

There is too much that needs to line up perfectly. The pivot and stop pin need to fit the
balde when its open and closed, the locking liner will need to be made from scratch as well.
Even if you did use a stock handle I think you would have to change so much you would be pretty much making a custom handle any way.
 
Maybe just go for the 15 like was suggested from EKI.
It may be exactly what you're looking for.
They also just released the Mini 15.
 
That mini 15 is SO SO COOL, i really love it, i just hate that damn recurve, cause i can not sharpen it. :p
 
i would just get something else a long time before i would invest probably a lotta $$ to convert one blade to another handle, before long ya have a $200 or $300 frankenstein which probably does nothing better than anything else lol, me, i would put that $$ aside while i am saving for a custom, to each there own though.
