Hi, I just received an Emerson mini commander and it is my first tme owning one. The main screw that holds the blade in place and adjusts tension can be loosened or tigtened by hand. IS that normal? When i tighten it with a screwdriver, to the point where i cant hand loosen it anymore, it is too tight and wont come out. Any suggestions? Any info would reaaly help. Thanks.
Your suggenstions will be highly appreciated.

Yep, it's normal. Most of my Emersons do that too. Just adjust the screw until the blade doesn't have any play in it and it opens easily. At first, it may be difficult to open anyway until the knife is broken in so just keep working with it - it'll loosen up. If the screw backs out on it's own a lot you may need to throw some loctite on it.

Don't worry about your Mini-C. I've had 3 of them and they've all been great knives.

after you've waved it and opened it a while to loosen it up and break it in try some loctite on the pivot screw then adjust the screw until the blade comes out just right. leave it for an hour and you should be good to go. Good luck with the Mini, you've chosen a fine knife.
