A quick intro to the Emerson Multitool at SHOT 2013:

Thought that this was loaded on Thursday but appears to have been a no-go. Yeah typical luck...

That's a good step in a new direction. I'd prefer it with either a spear or drop point instead of the commander profile. Still very cool!

Needs pliers

Now that is an interesting thought. I have found with my Leatherman, that the tool that I use the least is the pliers. The tool that I use the most, is the awl and the Phillips. I don't use the knife as often as I would like, because it is too awkward on the Leatherman. No, the Emerson multi-tool has everything that I need, in a package that is pocket-able.

I think thats unlikely, though everyone's definition of "reasonably" is different. But I bet it won't be priced commensurate with other high end MTs.

I would say that is a safe bet, but I am the sort of guy that prefers Snap-On tools. ;)

I can easily see using this tool for day to day work. The micro commander shaped blade is a plus. Although, it they made a model with say, a 7 blade on it, I would not be upset in the least. ;)
Hopfully these will be out soon.

I think a Journeyman or Gentleman Jim blade would be more useful and practical instead of the Mini Commander blade. I love the concept though. I will definitely pick one up if the price is right.

I bet it will be over $150, which means im probably not biting.
It looks cool, but im not a fan of the commander blade.
Im really surprised it's in D2 though! That's a breath of fresh air from Emerson.
