Being a writer has its perks. LOL Working on an article incorporating the knife. I don't think they are ready for general distribution just yet. They have to get the first 400 out to the Navy first.

Alright, have to ask. Does that pocket clip sit flush on its scale while installed on the blade pivot end? Or does it need modification as Emerson states in response to my question pertaining to the CQC7?

Nakano,

I'm not sure if it does, have not mounted the clip at the pivot end yet. It looks like it will but don't take my word on it.

I just got a call from Carrie at Emerson Knives, she wanted to let me know about the pivot bolt and the tip-down mounting of the clip on the SARK. In my post above in which Nakano asked me about it, I had no idea at the time but after looking again at the pivot end clip holes on the SARK, you can see that the head of the pivot bolt does not sit flush with the scale, therefore causing the clip to not sit flush. Emerson is now switching to new bolts that are flush with the scale, eliminating this. This is an across-the-board change, every Emerson folder from here on out will have the new pivot bolts. FYI.

Thanks Dex. I had addressed the Emerson forums way back concerning the CQC7. Their answer was that it was pre drilled for the user to mount if desired. But some modification was needed!? But a good decision and especially good for those who prefer tip down carry. Hope they will be able to provide retro pivot bolts if requested...
