Emerson Patriot ?!?!?!?!

Ummm when is this coming out. I need an oak handled Emerson. ...I mean, I guess I could make my own custom scales, but I want an Emerson designed knife called "The Patriot" with wood handles. Ernest has some very unique designs. I can't wait!

Does anyone have any info on this knife?

Cool video. I'm an Emerson Knives fan. Not sure about an oak-handled one though. Seems like a radical departure from their traditional G-10. And I love the grippyness of their G-10, nobody does it better in my opinion. Still, its always exciting when something new comes out from Emerson so I'll have to wait and see.

I do wish they offered more Jungle versions of their knives. I actually just recently made my own "Jungle" CQC-10. I even blacked out the liners which look way better in my opinion. Yeah, more options like that from Emerson (as wells as new designs) would be great. Anyway, here's a couple pics of my CQC-10 if you care. Thanks for the info on the Patriot by the way!

Well, the Oak is from George Washington's tree, the knife is named the Patriot. Kinda makes sense to me. I don't think our founding fathers were equipped to make G10. Oak is a pretty dense wood, so I'd imagine it would be alright. Wood handled knives and swords have existed for centuries. I will agree on the jungle scales, very nice 10.

The Patriot is a nice looking design. As far as I know, Emerson only made two for his last Online Auction. One was a full dress and the other was with George Washington Oak.

You made those green scales?

No, those are the stock scales. I simply duracoated them green and the liners black.

Those green G10 version are called "Jungle", so that would be the Jungle CQC-10. The tan scaled versions are called "Desert", and so on.

Thank you for the insight, fellas. I'm still fairly new to the world of Emersons. I actually have a Horseman which, according to tracking info, should be in my mailbox later today.
