Have you guys seen this knife, I like the production model o.k. , But I believe it's the custom version that has the wood handles made from a tree from George Washington's farm! I was kind of like meh, when I heard about the idea, but seeing how they look put together they are amazing, IMO Mr. E and Co. really outdid themselves on that design , beautiful knife with so much history, I would give anything to own one. Anybody know exactly how many are made with the wood , and price??? I'm scared to ask about the price but IMO, it would be worth every penny to own 1. A custom Emerson and 2. a custom Emerson with GW's tree as handles, Bad Assness at it's best! Edit: found price, along with a wait list, figured that...The price is a lot cheaper than I expected I wonder if it's still a custom for that price?

The wood handled version would definitely be something special for the collection. However, looking at the pictures it does not appear to be a custom, only a limited edition. It has the production EKI emblem and it's not a zero ground blade. Additionally, I don't think Emerson lists customs for sale, or even wait lists them on the website.

That said, I jumped on the wait lists for both just in case I've got some cash at the time they become available.

There are no new wait lists for customs anymore. The only way to get one new, is through a lottery.
