Emerson Patriot

The blade stock on almost all (if not all) Emerson knives is the same, and the geometry on the cutting edge is also very similar. They will all pretty much cut about the same. If you want something that can slice really well, look into a full convex blade or something in a full flat grind. That being said, I own several Emerson knives and have used them for years. They do cut well, but as far as great slicers, there are some better blade grinds for that purpose.

Will probably get Spyderco Military of Farid K2 and fully convex the blade, my preference is high hollow or full convex blade.

Endura 4 ffg is an awesome slicer in my opinion. I got one not long ago and it works great and is super reasonable.

For a well done high hollow grind, you should look at the Bradley Folder from Spyderco, or one of the Sebenza 25 models. I don't know of many folders that have a convex grind. Just about all the production Emerson knives are saber grind.

Military is a good, well made knife. I own a bunch of them and have used them for all kinds of stuff from scoring and trimming sheet rock to scraping adhesive off glass and floors to stripping wire. I think you will be happy.
Coincidentally, if you ever do decide to get yourself an Emerson knife, you will be pleasantly surprised as well. They are great knives as well, just different in their design purpose and overall maintenance plan.

I like Emerson knives myself, I haven't owned any in a while but I would like to try some newer models. I especially want a super roadhouse so much can get Nathawut to make me an all black kwaiken.

I've been edc'ing one for a few months. Slices pretty well, not as great as a full flat ground, but it's beefy so it's good for heavier tasks. All about compromise, right?
