Emerson Persian Tactical Folder: now available!

Well, one of my favorite knives, the Emerson Persian Tactical Folder, is once again available (for pre order)! Emerson will be making it again soon (I called them a few minutes ago and they said production will begin in 6 to 8 weeks)!

It seems the specs are the same of the old one, the only difference appears to be the finish: this time stonewash rather than black coated. I can't wait to have a SF next to my old black coated Persian! :thumbup:
 
Damn... Wasn't it listed at like $175 before they reposted it? I could have sworn. Someone tell me I'm not nuts.

I guess it's moot since they weren't producing the knife when that price was there, but still.
 
So with the pre-order I think they are asking for all the money upfront. Anybody know if the knives available directly from them are higher priced than what resellers generally offer them for?

That is usually the way most manufacturers operate. They charge full MSRP to avoid competition with stqndard retqilers.

The price for the old model (=the one with a black coated blade) I believe was $207.95, but I could be wrong.

I saw a few of the old black coated Persians for sale online with people asking crazy prices (375-400 and more), now all of that price gouging ought to stop, seen Emerson decided to make them again. However I don't know if it's a short run or if it's gonna be a regular model in their lineup. The only sure thing I know is that Emerson had a list (on which I have been for many months now...) of people interested in buying a Persian, if Emerson decided to produce it again. Well, all those people, including me, got their wish now... :)

It would appear that the long awaited Persian is on the market. I got a notification that my order had made it to the store. It will be shipped in couple of days. Can't wait to get it in my hands. Hope everyone elses has been shipped. Good luck!!!
 
Received mine (a SF) 12.27, great knife, love it. If finances permit it, I might pick up a BT too.
