I hear everyone talk about what emerson is best suited for sd uses.I have never once heard (persian) I'm I missing something? The persian would be my first chioce.I think it would be the best of both worlds slashing and piercing.I can understand why it's not for everybody because of it's limited uses and frigile tip.The kerambit is popular and just as (specialized):confused::)???

the persian is an excellent knife, i agree it seems to be over looked when it comes to SD recomendations  it is quite a big knife but still caries well, its a knife i like alot, so much infact i have 3 of them :D the fixed blade versian is a REALLY nice knife

If the Persian had a yoroi toshi blade style then I'd give er the once-over. you do have a good knife---or three!

try & find an emerson collectors assoc. P-tac with the zero bevel grind satin finished blade, its the very best p-tac around short of a custom one, imho the ECA versions are lots neater than the std EKI version.
