Hello,
Im sorry to have never held a Emerson knife so im looking for information this way. Im thinking about getting a Emerson GJ for myself. I have been wondering about the pivot screw. It seems to have flat side and side with the screw itself. Can you change sides so that flat side would face the side where "screw side" was before? Would this make the side that does not have the clip completely flat? It seems that the screw pops out a little bit in normal setup. It poping out in the side where the clip is wouldnt have any effect on knife laying flat on the table. (clipside would not lay flat anyways)

Thank for answers and sorry if the question is not understandable.

You cannot reverse the screws.

I disagree.

The pivot screw CAN be flipped to locate the screw on the liner lock side.

The pivot pin is notched and so is the lock liner. The pivot holes on both scales are recessed to the same depth and size.

The pivot pin is notched to fit the notched lock liner to keep the pin immobile. The pivot pin is long enough to catch the lock liner for the same result even if the pivot pin is installed from the opposite side.

So yes, you can flip the pivot pin and screw so the knife can lay flat on a table. However, the pivot screw must be screwed in to snug the blade fully, or you risk the pivot pin to rotate and defeat the purpose of the notched pin and notched liner.
