Emerson Police Utility Question

I have a Emerson Police Utility fixed blade knife. Besides the obvious advantages for law enforcement use, what advantages would this knife have for me as a utility knife or camping knife
Should I get another type of fixed blade, and if so, which one?

Seems to me like it would be a great utility knife. If it cuts what needs cut, it's a good utility knife! If not, look elsewhere...

I use these for utility knives: Al Mar Sere 2000, BM 710, Rinaldi LEO, Greco Companion, CRKT Ryan Plan B.

Whatever knife you choose for every day carry utility, just make sure it cuts what you need to cut every day, sharpens easily and doesn't get in the way while you're carrying it... also (and probably most important) make sure it's legal to carry in your area.

The Emerson is a good utility knife, but if I wanted to carry it for that purpose, I'd get a better sheath for it. Just my $.02!
