Emerson Price Consistency

Prices on Emerson knives seem very consistent. For example, a quick google search for a CQC-10 shows a pile of results, all are $213. Does Emerson enforce minimum advertised pricing, or something similar?

If you dig deep into the bowels of the internet, once in a while you can find a better pice than that for a cqc-10.

Just look at the exchange. I would say a good price for a cqc 10 is $160-$150. A great price is anything under that. And yes they do pop up for those prices but sell quickly.

Think they could have something called a low advertised price. As on the phone when you call seller, about special discount, like free shipping, military police discounts, senior citizens, etc.

We already have military and law enforcement discounts. We also offer free shipping deals from time to time. If you want a senior citizen deal, sorry, those are at the movie theaters and maybe at restaurants.

I have purchased at least 60 new Emerson's in the last 10 years and have never ever paid full retail price.

I was answering the questions about MAP pricing and discounts. Elitist? That's extreme don't you think? Seniors are considered 55 and over. Every hero, mentor and leader that I know is a "senior" so NO, I have nothing against them. They rule the world right now. Apparently you can't even make a joke without offending someone these days. I'm sorry but I thought it was funny that he asked about a senior discount for a consumer product. Let's not take this thread somewhere else other than the simple question the OP asked.

Wowzie! I didn't see the senior citizen remark in the op's message. I thought you were interjecting that.

As for senior citizens, I think we can all agree that their knowledge and understanding of the world surpasses most of us. My dad is a WWII vet and although he never went to college his wisdom is unmeasurable.

My point was dealers do from time to time offer different discounts, so it is alway good to about discounts. Cabella's is a good example, as once a year in July normally. They offer store wide discounts to Active Military & Retired Military store wide, some items are up to 20% off, or more. That is a hot deal the Friday - Sunday they do Military Appreciation.

So as I said it never hurt to ask about discounts, as many are not advertised.
