I remember seeing a link on the EKI website a year or so ago that would allow you to order a production knife model (specifically the CQC7), and then specify additional items for it; such as bolsters, scales, etc., at additional costs. I can't find this link any more and I was wondering if they still offer this. If they don't, does anybody know why.
 
I don't think it took off -- I heard some people mention orders were taking a -very- long time to complete. Perhaps EKI factory side found it to be too troublesome?

i was gonna send my I&I tanto in for bolsters/etc, i talked to someone about 6-8 months ago, she wouldnt really say what was up but IIRC she said they were not taking any orders at that time, i know lots of folks wanted to use the service and dont know why they dont do it, maybe they couldnt get enough skilled workers to do the work?? anyway call and see if maybe now they will do it/or not, i would like to know myself........
