Welcome to the Emerson Forums!
Don is correct. The "Emerson Gallery" was made with the intent to help folks with commonly asked questions and to just plain give folks a place to show off thier prized knives.
Click on this
link and it'll take you there. I think you'll find it interesting.

i would like to know if it is "normal" Ti or the more edgeholding type that ex. Mission Knives are using</font>
Sorry, can't help you there.

i understand that there are several of the cqcX knives, at least 8 as far as i can tell</font>
On the custom side, there is the CQC5, CQC6, CQC7, CQC8 and the CQC9. Here is a couple of links to pages from an older custom catalog that will show you the dementions of the different models.

However . . . . if you only look at the "CQC" series of customs, your only scratching the "custom" surface. Look at the ES1-M, the Rhino, the Vipers, the fixed blades, the Pre-tacticals, ect. True me, your going to like.
Just so there is no confusion, EKI makes production knives with the prefix CQC on them also. These are the CQC7A (Spearpoint)and the CQC7B (Tanto). These two models are actually quite veried in the configurations they can be had in. Finishes, sizes, with or with out a wave, ect.

also what does the term "wave" mean?</font>

Wave - The wave is a patented feature that allows the knife to be opened as it's drawn from the pocket. This is the fastest method of deploying a folder that I am aware of. It is located directly to the rear of the thumb disk and resembles a wave or hook. As the knife is drawn to the rear, the wave engages the edge of the pocket, opening the knife as it is drawn.

Hope that helps
