Hello guys. I'm new to this forum. I've got a question for everyone. Does anyone have a problem with liners getting "worn" leading to vertical blade play? This seems to have happened to my Raven, which I love. I liked the knife so much, I even bought another one so I could have bothe blade styles, tanto and clip point. Anyway, I'm not too thrilled about the blade play and if I push on the back of the blade, only with hand pressure and no prying, the lock moves slightly toward the unlocked position. Not too comforting with this blade. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

i would send it back to emerson. given how he stands behind his products, i imagine the would replace/repair your knife. i have not experienced that type of blade play with any of my emersons, but would definitely send it in if i did.

I had that problem, and fixed it.

Take it all apart.
Pick up the locking liner, and look at it, noting the direction the liner spring naturally bends (toward the inward face of the liner).
Now, apply some pressure and bend it a little farther. If you bend it, and it comes back to where it was, use a little more pressure. The idea is to increase the permanent bend, making it press inward harder when flexed.
Reasemble. If it didn't help, do it all again, bending the spring portion of the liner slightly more.

Alex
