Would anyone show an interest in a" scandi grind" folder by Emerson? I feel that would be a unique and practical design although It'll never happen. But never say never.

you can mod an existing double ground Emerson folder into a scandi zero grind by hollow grinding slightly the bevels.

Do you think that Emerson would make the blade thin enough for the Scandi grind to be as effective a cutter as the fixed blade Scandi knives?

I have fallen in love with Scandi knives so a folder would be a great addition to my collection.

Gentlemen,
I'd like an HD-7 with a scandi. Here's why: Back in the 80's I picked up a FB with a scandi, on one side, and that has been my best cutter. I thought, some one should do this on a folder. When I want to sharpen the blade I just work the angle that's all ready on the blade with a water stone. It's not hard. But the scandi of course will work with a "V" grind too. Ernie will never do it. Gotta stop say'n that.

spyken,
Is that your sword in the avatar picture? It looks like a nice one. Do you like Japanese blades? I own a few Japanese-style blades. I really like em.
