My Emersons are not looked upon highly by the other knives in my collection/rotation. They are always hogging my limited pocket room.
Oh, I might carry another one in addition to one of my Emersons, but never any more as a primary knife. More out of guilt. So my CRK Sebenzas and Umnumzaans, Benchmades, Spydercos, ZTs, etc. never leave the house hardly at all any more. But an Emerson ALWAYS does.
I started a threat entitled "Emersons; more than a knife?" last winter with a similar thought behind it, but it was more about how an Emerson feels like a life-saving piece of equipment (if needed) in addition to being able to cut things, so I always felt compelled to carry one.
And nothing has changed in the past year. I would still feel guilty if I ever left the house without one (except when riding one of my motorcycles, which means full-on one-piece racing leathers, and no place to carry a knife).
Anyone else have a similar story? Has having at least one Emerson precluded you from carrying any other knives on a continual basis?
