Can anybody give me any info on a knife that I have the option of buying. It is a Specwar A SF GH with the green handle. It is a 2000 model. I would like any details that I could about it, amount made, value, ect. Hopefully there are some "Emerson Experts" out there that could help. Thanks! It is NIB too btw.

Many collect and like the green handled Emersons, while others never really liked them much at all when they were offered and don't care that much for them now either. The liners are thinner on these models due to the years they were made but otherwise they are usually pretty nice folders if you can find one for a deal. Some were not happy with the flex the lock exhibits under load due to the thickness used for how they were built but if the lock engages the blade as it should they seemed to work as well as the others for most users. I had one just like what you are asking about until a few months ago when I gave it to my best friend since he collects the green Emersons and buys one every time he finds one for a good price. The green G10 was discontinued by Ernie some time ago but in the case of this knife the Specwar, well its discontinued also so you have two reasons to snag it if its a good deal for you. *I think the SPECWAR is only available now for NASA astronauts if I'm not mistaken and they have the standard black textured G10 scales used on other EKI products..

I have that exact knife that you are describing. I bought it a couple of months ago, I think I got a great price, I paid $150, not going to sell it, it is my favorite EDC Emerson, the ergos are great, slim, light, and not all Blacticool, but that's just my opinion.

Lucky you! I wasnt so lucky, someone swiped it before I could buy it for $220. I thought that would even be a decent price for NIB though. Is yours waved? The one that I was going to buy wasnt, I wouldn't have hesitated to buy it had it been a waved one. I'm content with my CQC 8BT for the time being.
