I thought I would put these here before I go to FOR SALE so that the regular members would have first shot. Hope this is not against the rules.

Identical new small black Specwar neck knives which are 6 1/4 inches long with 2 3/4 inch blades.
2001 date---$250.
2000 date---$275.
plus shipping and insurance.

Thanks,
Bill

Markus, the one that you're getting should be exactly the same as mine. Here's a pic that I just took of mine along with some very familiar blades for size comparisons.
You'll enjoy your Specwar Tanto Neck Knife alot! They're great pieces and they feel excellent in the hand. :)

Gentlemen:

I feel we "Usual Suspects" need to police ourselves and in my opinion selling knives on the Emerson Forum is wrong unless one has paid the freight to Spark to be able to do so. A knife cannot be listed for sale under the "for sale" forum unless one is a "gold member" and I can understand Spark comming down on us for listing a knife here in this forum if one hasn't paid to be able to do it.

I feel listing a knife in this forum is something that Spark has allowed us "suspects" to do in the past due to the Emerson interest but I don't believe we should take advantage of the site to list knives here unless we have upgraded to the "gold membership" status.

Personally I paid the $30.00 fee because I feel the forum is well worth it, not because I sell knives and I have made many friends through the forum and it's well worth the small fee to have this forum available.

Sniper,

I agree that we should only post items for sale here if we have paid to be a Gold Member. For the $30 that membership costs what could you buy that gives you as much fun as these forums?

Do the decent thing folks and give Kevin some cash to keep us in business....rant over.

Regards,

Ed

Sorry. I have been inactive quite a while and never paid any attention to the new format. So, I just paid my dues for gold. I agree with the policy.
By the way, the 2000 is sold to Ed. Thanks Ed.

I received several private e-mails on this subject all agreeing with what I said in the above post.

Hopefully Spark will allow us to continue to list Emersons here, and I feel we need to be "above board" with him and to respect his business decisions and policys.

In my opinion it is a honor to be a "usual suspect" and I feel our words, actions, and dealings with each other is far above what the "norm" may be in other forums or sites.

You all are what makes this forum GREAT!

Bill,

Good to see that you are upgrading. I will watch out for the mail later in the week.

Regards,

Ed

well said sniper308.. I am a sucker for such romantic notions and I agree with you that a "usual suspect" (as with any honourable group) should be a title reserved for a group of individuals who are upholding in their deeds and words.. not just an elitist term for people with toys.

I hope all the suspects protect the flag well as I have only had good dealings with those who do go by the name.

:)
