I noticed that this head has a full sized eye but is the weight of a boys axe. I could be wrong but judging by the amount of overlay left I don’t think its warm down that much. Is the large eye size common on Emerson & Stevens heads?

I also found that the P stands for temperer Pearly Pulcifer of E&S.

Good to know. Here's a reference to Pulcifer:

"Rackliff shows me yet another ax, this one initialed by the temperer (one Pearly Pulsifer) and explains how he knows it was made in 1934 in Oakland."
