The liner for my cqc 15 has been slipping and it looks like the tang is barely contacting the stop pin. Has anyone replaced their pins with a larger pin and if so where did you get it. Does anyone know of any other fixes for this aside from sending it in. This is my only edc unfortunately right now and I can't really spare it.

Are you getting front to back play as well from this? I think my Mini-15 might have the same problem.

I make my own stop pins out of # 6 drillbit it measures .203 . Cut off the smooth part of drill bitt and put in drill file down to .187 then take out of drill and turn around put back in drill measure over .187 then file down to .187. You will have new stop pin with about 20% lockup.

The stop pins are pretty hard, it's rare for them to wear down (not impossible) Most of the time, i've noticed with my Emersons (especially older more worn ones) the hole where the stop pins sits in becomes oval, make sure thats not the case.

Yep, that's exactly the problem I've got with mine.

Steveg30, did that completely fix the front to back play and slippage for you?

I would say if there's play with the stop pin in the liner... I believe you'll have to bite the bullet and send it in. The folks at Emerson are some nice people, call or email tell them your concerns and send it in. Many a time I've walked knives in for parts and they put new liners or screws or whatever that blade may require. Right there on the spot.... Way cool.... Try Steveg30's fix and if there's still play send it in. My CQC 7's lock up went from 75% to less than....well let's just say about half the lock bar sits on the tang now :D
