Emerson Super CQC-7 Liner Question (PICS)

This is my first Emerson and I LOVE it, what an amazing piece of art. However, I am mildly concerned with its liner lock. Its still minty fresh so I think it is still breaking in, so maybe I shouldn't be too worried.

Anyways, I am concerned that the liner is over-locking. The first few times I opened it, the liner locked up VERY early, but in the course of a few days the lock has kept creeping over when it locks up. It has gone from locking up way too early, to locking in the center of the tang now its locking past center of the tang. Is this normal for an Emerson? Where should it be locking up? I tried to take some pics for y'all.

Thanks for your help.

The lock on my CQC-8 that I just got sits on the left side of the blade and hasn't moved. As long as the lockup is tight I wouldn't think it matters but it shouldn't go any further to the right.

Someone with more experience with Emerson knives may have to chime in but that looks like a lot of wear for a new knife.

I have a Raven that did something similar. After a period of time
the lock was practically all the way to the right and it wasn't long
before I noticed some vertical blade play. Shipped it off to Emerson
and it was fixed of $10 worth of shipping and handling. Send it
back if it gets worse; customer service is first class.

I can't imagine a lock moving that far in a matter of days. I haven't seen that much lock movement on knives that I have had, and used, for almost 10 years.
