I remember a year or two ago, I was looking through Emerson's catalog and they had a titanium edged knife. They still list the edge in their information area, but I can't remember the name of the knife. Does anyone remember this and know if Emerson still sells them?

There are a few titanium bladed Emerson's floating around, but he doesn't work with it anymore. They are very rare and probably very expensive as a result of how few were made. I think the Commander is one of them.

Like MasterPisaster said, Ernie did a small run of Ti bladed Commanders. I think 20 in total were ever made, but if I remember correctly he said that he hated working with it and actually ruined one of the blades when fitting the detent. Very very rare.

Man that sucks! From they way he described them they sounded amazing! Too bad it took me so long to save up for one

Ti blades are gaining in popularity. Go get one form another source if you can't find an Emerson.

I know these models have had titanium blades:) These are the Titanium-Bladed Emersons i've had

Ti La Griffe
Ti CQC-6
Ti Mini-Commander

I recall seeing some Benchmade CQC 7's with Ti blades with carbide edges. Sometimes they come up for sale from collectors.
