It has been my past understanding that the Titanium La Griffe is a "Handmade Custom" since it has been reported here that Ernie handgrinds these knives himself.
Since the Emerson Custom/Production shop has opened, I have seen that the Titanium La Griffe is offered through them at $219.95.
This price seems low compared to other dealers past prices on this knife, and I am curious as to other "Suspects" thoughts on this particular knife. Are the older ones "handmade" and "custom"? I know that Ernie is no longer taking "custom" orders, however he is still turning out limited customs to fill past customer orders, as well as to sell at various knife shows. Are the ones listed on the EKI site truly "custom handmade"?
