Emerson Trainers?

Are there trainer versions of Emerson knives available. I seem to remember seeing something about them a year or so ago, about the same time as Spyderco started making trainers. If I remember right they were going to be considerably less expensive than the "real" knives.

Check their website www.emersonknives.com , they have them for CQC7, Commanders, and PSARKS, which have black, blue, or red scales.

EKI does make trainers

Unlike Spyderco, they replicate thier sharp cousins pretty well.

Originally the EKI Trainers wore Red scales, but the latest versions carry Blue scales.

As to price, a regular Commander retails for $219, the trainer $99.

I should also note, before someone asks, I have seen trainers for Commanders, CQC7s, PSARK/SARK and Kerambits. They may have more models.

As to quality, again, before it's asked, I have used all the models listed above (all but the Kerambit in force on force training) and they all have been excellent quality. Just the thing for finding out what exactly works and what doesn't when your wrestling across a floor with an aggressor or are seeing stars as someone pinches off your air.
