Why doesn't Emerson make this knife anymore? Seems like a wonderfully designed knife with 4.1 inches of blade and weighing in at only 5.1 oz. That's is extremely light for any blade that length, especially an Emerson since they're usually on the heavier side.

Im looking to purchase one of these ASAP and was wondering if anyone here owns one, and would like to let me know how they like it?

I think it's back on the production line, reportedly with design improvements, at least that's what I read in the Katerno (sp?) site. I got mine about ten years ago and have been very happy with it. Easy to handle (opens in a variety of ways), fits the hand well, holds the keen edge, etc.

The CQC-11 is a fantastic knife to use and carry, especially if you have larger hands. The handle ergonomics are typical Emerson - perfect. I highly recommend the CQC-11.

Sounds like it's exactly the quality I expected it to be. Looks like I'll be searching far and wide for this folder until it starts getting produced again. I absolutely love my Emerson and need to expand my collection from just having a cqc 7 with tan handles.

The cqc-11 was an awesome knife but if any knife needs to go back into production it's the SOCFK-A truly kick ass knife!

This. Despite my reluctance to get any more Emersons, that is one design I will grant an exception.

I do have a CQC-11 though.

I got a CQC-11 from a member here back in november. I carry it everyday and I LOVE this freakin knife! I really hope Emerson does put them back in production cause I'd probably be in for one or two more. That said, I also love the SOCFK drop point (can't remember which version that was)

The CQC-11 is big, but the ergos are absolutely fantastic and its one of the best blade designs to come out of their shop IMHO.

Awesome knife. I now use Journeyman to replace it.

I have one, great knife but I can't seem to get use to the recurve edge. Only recurve edge knife I found I really love is my Benchmade 710. I got rid of both my Commanders but have held on to the 11 (so far). I think I'd prefer the Journeyman (with a 4+" blade, perhaps a 'Super Journeyman' or a 'Super 13').

I'm acquainted with a bum that would gladly take it off your hands if you don't want it anymore:D

I had a CQC-11 for a while. A friend wanted it more than I did and he hounded me to sell it to him. Took about a month but he finally got it.

I would love to have one again!
