This is my first post on these forums. I have been interested in an Emerson for a while, more specifically the CQC-8 or Horseman after handling them at a local gun show. I was saving money for my purchase, when I came across a Commander for sale locally. Since I have only handled an Emerson for about 5 minutes, I am by no means an expert.

With that being said, when I meet this guy on Wednesday what should I look for to ensure that it is a legitimate Emerson.

All I know right now is: light use, 2008, full-size Commander, serrated.

Thank you for your help.

The easy thing to remember is that Emerson does not use Torx drive screws, plastic back spacers and has two ball detents in the liners (one on each side).

Good luck and use your best instincts, if it feels wrong, just don't go with it.
