You're in a zombie apocalypse. You can only have one knife, an emerson knife. Which do you chose and why.

Idk, maybe my 7, being that a straight head shot is what really matters. No slashing required. I have a regular sized one but a super 7 might be more suitable?

Super CQC-7. If Im in a SHTF zombie scenario I'll need a knife that's easy to sharpen, on top of being very easy and quick to sharpen the front edge and the belly edge of the Super CQC-7 can even be sharpened at different angles allowing one to "purpose build" his/her knife to some degree for a specific task. The straight lines of the Super CQC-7 edge allow me to sharpen it quicker than any knife I own on my whet stone, or in a SHTF situation on a cinder block or the bottom of a cup. I'll need a knife with an edge capable of fitting into small places like a door frame, a window, between two pieces of metal, especially one that will stand up to prying. The Super CQC-7 does all this like a champ. Ill need a knife that can pierce and cut metal sheets and wire, another task the Super CQC-7 is excellent in. Ive found that the main tip at the end of the knife may dull with hard use, but I've often found that what I like to call the 2nd edge (the point that is formed from the meeting of the front edge, and the belly edge) often stays razor sharp allowing me to readily slice up things like carpet or plastic. The shape of the blade, and the strength of the tip will make it a pretty choice blade for piercing skulls, although actually doing so is a bit more difficult than how they show it in the show. The Supern CQC-7's shape will also help reduce drag when drawing the knife back out. In Short the Super CQC-7 will allow me to do what I have to inorder to upgrade my equipment to something better. Any knife you choose should be one intended as an emergency back up, thus the wave being a feature goes without question if were just talking folders. The knife should be one that allows you to do what you have to do in order to acquire a better weapon or situation, I know I'm reiterating but that's what I was trying to say in laymans terms.

I'd also like to add that in the walking dead they actually do use Emerson's. The main character guy (cop, cowboy hat, revolver dude) dispatches some zombies with a Satin finish commander in the prison in one of the episodes before the mid season finale. That blade has quiet an obtuse tip, but in the show penetrates some skulls really well. So far I've seen a Commander for sure, what it think is a CQC-7, a couple of Bussie fixed blades, and one poorly carried Spyderco (see my post in the Spyderco section http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1155410-quot-The-Walking-Dead-quot-Endura-Fail )

I was thinking a super roadhouse would be great too. The handle guard on it, similar to the 8 and the commander, would be awesome when penetrating skulls!

For zombie killing, I think I'd rather have a fixed blade, so either that Police Utility Knife or a good Emerson tanto tip knife, if he ever did one.

(I remember there was a pretty sweet double edged tanto tip dagger he made some time ago, but single edge would probably be better.)

personally I feel there are emerson knifes that could penetrate the skull easier than the commander. Which I hear comes in handy in zed combat.

well then if that is the only way I would still take my commander.

I have a pointy Gentelman Gym which would work for skull penetration but I feel the Commander would leave a more devastating wound.

I don't know if I would trust a chisel ground edge when it comes to Penetrating bone. I think the 7v or better yet a super 7v or again a Super roadhouse would fill the bill nicely.

Of my Emersons I would chose my CQC 10.

Out of any Emerson I would chose the Kandahar. No question.
