GET OFF MY KNIFE!!!!! Never could get it out of my pocket without it deploying. Dug the knives, hated the cuts. Now I just have to get my CQC 14 again!

Plus I sanded down the G10 and put a lowrider pocket clip on. Pretty sweet EDC now.

Noooo blasphemy! It does look go that way I will admit. There's a little trick to get it out without waving. When pulling it out, just slightly turn it towards your body so it doesn't catch and pull more straight up rather than back. Love my Mini Commander but it needs some company.

Funny, the wave feature is what I like most about Emerson's. When I take my knife out of my pocket, my intention is to use it...YMMV

I like to wave my emersons but I won't do it in public -- don't want to scare the sheople that might scream "switchblade" or some other stupid thing.

The two biggest things that make me an Emerson guy are the Wave feature and the legacy they have (where they've been and where the designs come from). If it weren't for BOTH of these things, I'd probably be carrying a Zero Tolerance.

Just carry a Waved ZT then. For the record I carry both emerson and zt with waves!

LAME... Nice way to ruin such a great knife.

If you can't handle the wave then Emerson Knives are not for you. I and just about everyone else have absolutely zero problems drawing our waved knives out of our pockets without them deploying.

That's cool. I like Emerson's for their feel and blade styles. I just happen to like it more without the wave.

The wave is ingenious. They have a blade shape to suite nearly anyone's taste or need. What really makes an Emerson an Emerson is the feel. I have other great knives from other great companies that I carry just as often and at times more so (new toys duh:D), but none of them feel quite as right as my Mini Commander. Keep that bad boy sharp SchweetGuitars, you know what's up brother.

The wave is cool and all, but if you keep using it, you'll have shoddy lockup within a year.

I love some of Emerson's designs, but I just don't trust my fingers with a ti liner lock.

I only wave to show off usually, but I like knowing it's there to deploy quickly if needed. Seilu is right about the lockup. Keep slamming that blade on the lock really hard by continuously waving and your lock will move very quickly! On the bright side, Emerson will put in a new lock for the price of shipping. Already had to do this once, no big deal and a quick turnaround.

Well said Bro!

Aw man, well it's really going to piss you guys off when I get my CQC 13 in the mail and immediately cut the wave off that bad boy!!!!!!!!!!!

If you look at things like that then the knives you want are Buck knives which have been used in every form of US Military conflict since WWI.

Although I'm not 100% certain, I believe you can purchase Emersons without the wave and the price is slightly lower on the non-waved items. If so, you may want to look into those options.

Only a few come without the wave from the factory. You can send it to Emerson to have them remove it for a nominal fee.

Out of all my EKI blades, half are waved and the latter which are all CQC-7 models are non-waved.. I'm actually carrying a non waved CQC-7 with a satin/stonewashed blade as part of my EDC tonight.. It's not that hard to deploy waved knives without waving them. As was earlier posted, just twist it a tad when withdrawing so the wave doesn't catch on your trousers pocket, that's it..

Cheers,
Serge
