I just purchased the Waveless Commander, and it is now my favorite knife. The liner is, for the most part, smooth, and the knife is incredible. The wave, although a great feature, never really suited me and is actually a hinderance since I carry my knife in the sap pocket of my uniform. I loved my first Commander, but after slicing open my finger when the knife opened (because of the wave), and ruining one pair of pants, I didn't carry it much. I'm glad to have one again (without the wave).
