Hey does anyone carry waved folders with success iwb? I’m scared it would flick open and yeah haha. Thanks.
 
It is meant to be carried in the front pocket. I don't own one, but my friend has many.
No problem pulling it out and it opens quick!
Safe, away from fingers he said.
 
You could carefully carry IWB , but waving it open from there might be difficult .

They make belt sheaths for wave opening . Perhaps one could be made for IWB ?
 
I have in the past without issue, but not regularly.

The only times I would are when I would go running. I tried an Emerson in the pocket of athletic shorts, but light and loose fabric and the lighter than average detent paired with the back and forth motion caused by running would allow the blade to creep out sometimes. Never got hurt by it but still not a good feeling.

Carrying it on my waist at 3 o'clock negated this as the knife doesn't swing at all. Waved fine too.

I don't think I would have had issues, but have decided to carry something with a stronger detent while running. Rat 1 took that crown.


Other than that, my waved knives stay in the pocket.

It will stay closed and wave out fine. I had the same experience with Emersons as benchwarmer380, only difference is I'll carry a fixed blade instead of a folder in that situation.

I had one wave pocket knife, I never carried IWB but it did open on occasion. I think a fixed blade or a different locking style would be better. I have carried my fixed blades IWB with an ulti clip I prefer to carry it in my pocket though. It might be a little heavy for your situation. I wear Jeans and a belt most days. Here are some pictures for reference. ulti-clips fit almost any fixed blade sheath with 1.5 inch holes. I have been really happy with them so far.
