Yup, the lack of thumb disc was a bit of a grumbler for me not to mention the clip set up on the 7

I presume that's got something to do with the laminate blade not taking a thread for the thumb disc screw too well.
It could be that WT or EKI just don't want to make a faithfull "coppy" of the blade, the wave is a different shape too.

Jah, who knows. The Wave can by used by the thumb to open the knife.

Yea, there is that but I do prefer the non waved knives where possible.

It might be worth picking one up to see what there like. I do like the looks of the 8 and that 14 with the longer blade.
