Dear Members,

Saint Patrick's Day is just around the corner. You may know that it is a big holiday here at Emerson Knives.

Ireland, the land of poets, musicians, writers, and leprechauns. It’s the land of emerald green, shamrocks and shillelaghs. It’s the land of Warriors.

The contrast of the Irish has always entranced me in a way I find hard to describe. On one hand they are as a whole, the friendliest most fun loving and warmest people I have ever known. On the other hand they are the toughest, most hard boned fighters the world has ever known. It is a fact that those of Irish descent have been the mainstay of the U.S. military since the Revolutionary War, suffering more causalities than any other ethnic group. It is a fact that most of our greatest military commanders and generals are of Irish descent. Naval Special Warfare once did a study to see why so many Navy SEALs were of Irish descent. And then there are the Irish Boxers. The list goes on and on.

Join me in celebrating Saint Patrick’s Day this year and honoring the land of the poet warrior. We have created two special knives, the Irish Commander and the Irish Shepherd (the Sheepdog). Both of these knives are adorned with the color of the Emerald Isle and Shamrocks in honor of Saint Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland.

So let’s do something different this year. Join me in celebrating the day when everyone is Irish. At 7:00 PM Pacific time on St. Patrick’s Day I will drink a toast with my favorite Irish Whiskey and I ask you to join me by doing the same with your favorite. Just take a photo and hashtag it #EmersonIrishToast and we’ll all celebrate together. Be careful though, your mug will be seen by thousands. Have fun, Enjoy, be safe.

Proud to be Irish – Every day of the year.

I'm damn proud to be Irish as well... got a little Scottish in the bloodline also :)

Funny thing about Irish and Europeans... even if you're of european descendants but born in brazil (latin America) like me with a family history that stretches to Spain, Italy and Portugal, we may share a lot in common with our Irish european brethren. Considering the fact that the Celtic tribes, before Rome, stretched from the southern tip of Spain, through Gaul (Modern day France) and to the British Isles and Ireland... and since I also have an Irish first name, I look forward to St. Patrick's Day every year! Be safe everyone, look for my stuff on social media. =)

Well, I believe I have a little Irish in me on my mother's side, but I can't do whiskey much anymore, so I'll wish you a Happy Saint Patrick's day in advance!

Dear Members,

Leonard from Steel Flame gave me a bottle of Green Spot last year for my birthday. That's what I will be toasting. What will you be drinking?

Happy Saint Patrick's Day,

Ernest
