First off if this is in the wrong forum I apologize and mods please move it, I have a question though all you guys with emerson blades and the edge pro do you remove your thumbdisk whenever you go to sharpen them or do you just deal with it? I'm not ready to sharpen one yet but have put them on the blade table to see what it's gonna be like and that thumbdisk is all up in the wayso i need to remove it or just deal with it?? Especially on a regular cqc7 since the blade is so small anyway its gonna be kinda hard to get too, any tips thoughts or advice will be greatly appreciated and thanks for takng the time out to look and help me out.

Dont have any emersons but i do use the edge pro, i think it would work best if you did remove the thumb disk. I always remove thumb studs when sharpening

If its in the way remove it. Only one Philips screw so it won't be difficult at all.

I don't have an Emerson, but I do have a couple of knives with disks & it's difficult to sharpen them on an EP without removing the disks. I always take them off.
