I have two. In their prime, they were on par with Wusthof and Henckels w/ better f&f. As I understand it, their finishing process was done by hand and eventally closed shop as Wusthof and Henckels perfected their machine finishing process.
I've got 3 of them, with the oldest being a 14" Chef's knife. I would agree about them being on par with Wusthof and Henkles, at least the older ones. Their newer knives which I believe were made into the 1980's, leave a lot to be desired.
