Emmanuel Esposito just sent me Francesco Pachi's picture
of the collaboration piece he and Elizabeth Loerchner
created for the coming Las Vegas Auction.

They named the folder "Bird of Paradise".

I think that there is no doubt that we are witnessing
the beginning of a new era of world class custom knives...

Bravo to the young couple!!!

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

WOW!!! Art in knives at the zenith! GREAT collaboration and I think I read that they are "collaborating" on more than knives:D

CONGRATS to Elizabeth and Emmanuel!

Peter

can't wait to see it in person, hope to see you all in Vegas this weekend

Where the total sum of artistry becomes even greater than the two individual parts (both of which are incredible to begin with).

I agree with the above and I think it is a work of art, but I have one point of critique. I find the screw at the backend out of place. Another type of screw or even better completely screw less (if technically possible) would make this knife even more appealing to me.

Marcel usually I put the line of the screw in different position, but this time I put it to follow the line of the filework. It's the same for both sides.

Liz accomplished the work on this knife in our tiny workshop in Germany. It was amazing to see her adapt to the very limited space, using only the very few files she had brought along. She does not have any problems working in adverse conditions, and has the ability to concentrate completely on her work, regardless. Even I was impressed.
