Tough issue. Thanks for the link, Hollow. I imagine you and I are on the same page on this one; I don't think emminant domain was ever intended to confiscate property on the public's behalf to put in a Country Club.
It would appear that each state will have to take action on this issue to make things "right". I can't for the life of me understand how the USSC arrived at its decision on this issue. Oh...spare me any legal analysis you might have that backs up the USSC's decision. Taking of private property with the objective of fattening local government tax coffers is WRONG. I'd be surprised if violence did not eventually occur if the situation is not corrected. Hopefully things won't get that far down the road.
