I am considering buying a set of Emperor Steel brand knives.
Here's the ad description:

6 Vintage Stainless Knives -Regent Swords-Emperor Steel - $20 (

I have 6 very very good quality knives - these are large cutlery knives and are considered collectables - they are a mix of EMPEROR STEEL, REGENT SWORDS, INTERPUR etc. They are in amazing lightly to never used condition - only thing i could think of is a good sharpening. They are high quality items with full length knife (the blade runs into handle - One Piece design) VERY STRONG AND STURDY KNIVES. They all average about 14" Long - VERY NICE - $20 Cash for all

If anyone has any experience with this company, I'd really like to hear your thoughts on the quality of their products.

A quick Net search show that they may be a shuttered Indonesian company. It make me think of companies like Cutco or even Harbor Freight sub-brands with a nice sounding name, but not so much quality to back it up.

And of course it's cheap enough to try, but my knife drawer over flows and I'm determined to only add respectable quality from now on.

What do you think? TIA.

While they may be slightly better than what you could pick up at the dollar store, even those brands are still wall-hangers, suitable only for looking at. Any respectable sword that I know of will sell for no less than hundreds of dollars, and that's the low end production models.
You might pick them up just to see how quickly they fall apart, but you're probably better off saving up for a Busse, or waiting for the new Beckers to come out.
