My niece has qualified as an EMT and I want to buy her a multitool to carry every day on the job.
What would be the best quality and most practical model for her? Price is unimportant.

Thanks in advance for any advice.:)

I am not an EMT, so someone qualified may know better. But off top my head, I would think it'd be nice to have something with a one-hand opening blade, serrated blade and scissors easily accessible from the MT. So I would recommend the following from Leatherman:

Free P4(the newest mid-size tool)
Surge(heavy duty tool)
Wingman(inexpensive budget choice)

And depending what she use most often, there is always the Raptor Rescue for the job too(a shear with multi functions, but I figure they may prefer the disposable shears)

I second the Leatherman RAPTOR RESCUE, it folds into a neat, compact size for belt carry. A well thought out, practical tool.
