Anyone else get encouragement(aka laughs) from the wife while doing manipulations...Wife gets the best laughs watching me dance as the bali twirls feetward and when I catch the blade instead of the handle....Glad she enjoys it..the show must go on. :D

I just get the evil look when the knife occasionally hits the coffee table. My wife actually knows how to do a few of the basic openings and closings.:)

My girlfriend actually likes looking and handling my knives quite a bit.., but as I posted once on another topic, it bothers her lots when I do Two-at-a-Time <~~ GREAT T-Shirt phrase "Sniper".

One has no effect at all, but (2) and I'm put on "Extinction" for a while. :(

Oh well.., I'm getting used to watching TV in the garage...

My better half tries to stay clear. Once and a while she'll pick one up and join in. then its every man or woman for themselves.

I haven't even started yet and my wife is already laughing at me.

p.s.

I keep trying to email you Duck but the email keeps bouncing back.

You will have fun Dennis.., and suddenly you start "feeling" the knife. The laughs will come and go.., but when the Wowwwwwwwws start :)..., then you're hooked!

I learned my manipulations while I traveled around the country for the company I work for, each city that had a Cutlerly store that sold butterfly knives had someone there that could teach me a technique, at night when I called home to the family my wife could hear the click/clack of the knife in the background and complain ~Put that knife down and pay attention to me!~ :D
It does become quite a habit, opening and closing the knife over and over and over...

When my wife gets tired of hearing the clacking and clicking she tells me to "put that flipping thing away!"

Gary, thanks -- I really enjoyed your response and know from whence you cometh !!! :)

I have been married a long time, 22 years. She has learned to accept my habits, both good and bad. But I do still see her  quite often. I can handle that as she seems to understand, or at least accept my knife affliction, as long as not too much shows up on the credit card statement in one month. Thank god for money orders. ;)
