It's that time of the week. The day we look at our watches every 10 minutes in hopes that there was a rip in the space-time continuum and those 10 minutes were actually 5 hours. Damn this is going to be a long day.

Anyway, what's the plan for everyone? I have to check out a wedding tonight, go to a family reunion two hours away tomorrow, then sunday, I go the opposite direction for a birthday. My poor, lonely shop. :grumpy: :D

HEHEHEHEHEHEEHEHEHE, Thats what you get Michael, for going to Blade and not taking me along, HAHAHAHAHAHAHA I guess I'll go to the shop and play now. :D :D :D :D

Ha ha, I'm off today. I'm off everyday, but I dont have to work today. He he.
I'm out working on a new forge design that will hopefully be completed by the hammer-in . Might start grinding on a nother knife. I'd love to forge but I want to save my shoulder for the hammer-in, just in case I blow it out. Got to go to the doctor today and get some steroids to heal up my back. Love em and hate em. Two days into the cycle you feel like superman. Then I look like beerman from the weight it makes me gain. Oh well, another day above the dirt is a good one.

I'm looking forward to being in the shop. I finally got in some work time yesterday after three weeks of travelling around. I need to HT a blade made from some cable I welded up at IG's so I can finish the knife and post it so that the next time I'm up in Boston he'll let me come back and play.

Hope they help, Mark. I remember those "Dosepacks"; they were great, felt like dancing on day 3-4 then realized I'd overdone it by day 6 and hurt the joint more. Two-edged sword. They kept me going for a year, though, before the hip surgeries.

I've been on a steady daily dose for 5 years now. It has been a large part of the reason I porked out so bad. 130 pound gain and only 50 lost. I just got permission from the rheumatologist this week to start trying to taper off. Going to take 3 months total, but I am really looking forward to possibly starting to be able to shed some of this excess weight again.

Not being a wiseguy, but I have to ask my wife what day it is most of the time now, if I even care. Retirement is cool. Broke, but cool. I don't miss work a bit.

I hope those of you who only get their sanity time on weekends have a GREAT TIME!

Spent today couped up in the truck driving all over trying to get a deal on some new windows for the house. We (The Missus) finally settled on some Anderson 200-Series. Sheesh! Guess what I'll be doing this weekend?

:(

I hope to spend a lot of time in the shop this weekend and do some serious work towards finishing up my home built grinder. I also have to take the wife out Saturday night for a nice dinner as she just passed all her finals to become a certified Pharmacy tech (yeah!) and really had to bust her butt to do it. I'm thinking a nice cab ride to our favorite Korean BBQ restaraunt to make sure there's no celebratory DUI charges to ruin the celebration.

Hope y'all have a great weekend.

John

Normally, Fridays are the start of my weekends, but Lt. talked me into working, and day shift, to boot! Well, 8 hours got run into 10, and ol' me then got to drag butt home. A certain gentleman in a kyak picture has the right idea, go have fun and don't look back! Shop time tomorrow and Sunday, folks! Blade show is just a pipe dream, even though I threaten to darken the doorway of the show someday.
