I finally did it. I posted some stuff for sale. I couldnt pay my membership renewal, so admin folks here slid my membership to Gold, so I cant post in the knifemakers for sale area. :(

Not to be spammish about it, but here is the link to gadgets and all that so you guys can see my equipment for sale:

Some excellent deals there for someone. Help a brother out and spread the news for me? Thanks, bros.

Jeff: If you don't sell the oven I'll tell you what I'll do for you. I'll take for the $1000 and once you get back on your feet I sell it back to you for the $1000.;) :D

I'm sorry to hear this -- hopefully you'll be back to it down the road.

I'm very sorry to hear this Jeff. Please stay in touch. You'll be able to get back into it later.

Jeff, Im sad to hear of the finacial problems you are facing right now. Making knives doesnt pay very well it seems and I do feel your pain. You are such a talented machinist I would think you could make it there and just make the knives for a hobby again down the road. Your decision on selling your equipment must have been heartbreaking. I feel bad for ya but keep your head up my friend.

Not going to leave BF Shoptalk, I can say that much. You guys are like family, especially that friggin Portu-rican down in New Bedford!

Right now the company I work for is in a hiring freeze until the first quarter is over. After that, I'll have a job that really pays well and a lot of this tightness in the family budget will loosen up.

Bubba!!! I know the tightness in your butt won't loosen up.  I mean't what I said if you want to hold onto the grinder and oven, I'll front you the cash for them.;) But you would have to deliver it in person.:D

Deliver his butt? I guess that could be a way of getting a little extra income. :D

Sorry to hear things are a little tight for you guys. Don't give up on the dreams. They just take a little longer than we think they should.

Fred

Sorry to hear things are tight and you're selling your tools. That sux. I hope fortune smiles upon your house and things take a turn for the better.

Gosh Darn it Higgy ! I caught this thread late , been so much going on with Hunting season & all . I'm bummin bad Higgy , this sucks ! Man you are one of the last I thought would ever make a decision like you have , life has been tough for so many lately ( me included ) . Brother I have never even met you and you feel like my good buddy , brothers in machining I guess is what has made me feel a little closer than the average bear to you . I have always taken your help and tech advice as top notch so don't go no where man , we need you ! You are in my humble opinion what makes BF and in particular "Shop Talk" what it is , the best damn place on the web to get answers to what it is we love to do . I sure hope this is just a temporary glitch friend . I'm pullin hard for ya , you're in my thoughts while in the shop more than you would ever know .
