Go Amko! Glad you you got this beautiful piece. I’ve got one of these by Lanchu also. You’ll be pleased!

Auntie,
If the 12 inch 12 once is still available I'd be interested. I know a young man that would love it.

You need to email her. That's how she handles sales. She posts it here, and then we email her to call dibs. And I think it's a great choice. I wouldn't mind that one myself.

The 21" Chitlangi above will be my first two fuller ("dui chirra"?) Chitlangi. I have a single fuller (Panchthar ?) Chitlangi but Auntie sold it as a Purna Chainpuri on that DOTD.

Single fuller vs. double fuller - for the same size - which would be the stronger in design? I understand that fullers are designed to reduce weight without sacrificing strength.

From the archives: Lachhu's kami mark (later) is a sun with many rays. (The Devanagari characters are Ra Bee.) Earlier he used fewer rays. Elsewhere on the forums, Steve Tall mentions that Lachhu for some time used a trident as his mark. Curious to see which mark Lachhu used on this knife...and maybe date it accordingly.

Grats Amko! That is a beautiful knife! Love it! Hairline cracks are usually nothing. Oil it up a bit with mineral oil and see if them cracks just go away. Great buy!

Greetings and thanks much Ndog. I really liked the lines of this Chitlangi myself and the fullers seem deep and graceful...and what's a couple hairline cracks? Will do on the mineral oil.

I associate you with your single fuller Chitlangi, some how! Or Panchthar Chitlangi as Wolf_1989 called it.
Are you still using yours?

Yes sir
Thanks you I posted mainly to let other know , I email "Auntie first :)

What are you mad about Mike? Or maybe like me your labeled phsyco, guess I need to learn how to spell it.
Fingers crossed for you.

Yep Im still using it. It is not as shiny as when I got it but I do keep it clean. The balance on those 19-21" Sirus and Chits feel so sweet! The single fullers have a thinner edge than the regular Chits but for light work you cant beat it. I do chop with it but you really have to be careful on dense dried hardwoods.

"Mad Mike" Hoare was a famous leading Merc leader in the Congo during the '60s. Also when I was in the service people were always asking me why I never smiled. IDK kind of took on the name for myself when I sign up for the Forums.

People always tell me I never smile too. I'm always happy, guess I just don't look it.

Ringo Starr was asked the question one time,...”why are you so sad?”
He responded,...”I’m not sad, it’s me face!”:(

Btw....the “me” isn’t a typo but his English accent!
