This was taken on November 3rd of this year. I hike by here everyday.

Not as many since the coyotes have become rather abundant. The ones that are left are mostly around where people live now.
A small City nearby that I work in has loads of groundhogs, a woman at work lives right in town and they took over her small backyard. Trying to get away from the 'yotes I'd say.
Lots of deer and turkeys, though.

Looks like a peaceful area. What is the average temp in the "winter"? and is it usually cloudy or just cool but sunfilled?

The Ohio River valley is famed for it's drastic weather changes.
It can be sunny and 70 degrees one day and well below freezing and snowing the next.
It's been rainy/snowing/sleeting this week and overcast and gloomy, but it's supposed to get up in the 50's today.

Very nice, Jill. That looks just like the farm in the Ozarks where I used to be a caretaker. It also reminds me of Southern Illinois where I spent lots of time growing up.

Nothing out here looks like that, so that photo's a pleasant reminder of the mid-south. Thanks for sharing.

Oh man does that make me homesick! I've been a 'flatlander' for so long I almost forget the hills until I see a pic like that.

Growing up in WV I can appreciate that. Bet it looked even better when the leaves turned a bit more. Thanks for sharing it.

Oh, so like summer in Montana. :D

That's a beautiful view!

You might find a view like that in the Welsh Borders over here but there would probably be a little more sign of human activity.

thanks for the pic, Jill. I always enjoy seeing your photos - up till now its been mostly your spydercos - I think you are hiding a talent! That is a beautiful area, you must enjoy living there.

Ohio River Valley of North Ky., while the Ohio River is not below, the creek that carved the valley does empty into it in another 5 miles or so.

What a beautiful spot Jill.....I love the fall colors of the trees.
I lived in Pennsylvania for a time and the Autumn colors were breathtaking.
You are most fortunate to have such a vista on your doorstep;)
