Oh man, that is TEMPTING. I have to tell you, guys and gals, the KK is a knife that works above its weight class.

I have a very light "camping" trip coming up next month. I use " " because it's at a large cabin split between 3 families for my friend's 40th birthday. Lots of people around and really no need for a massive chopper to get a fire going in a brick lined firepit.

My knife of choice is my villager finish KK just like this one. I have made a nice form fitting leather sheath and have honed it to a razor's edge. It will be plenty of knife to build a small fire and do some light camp chores. No need for a khukuri, most likely.

...but a khukuri is going to be riding along in the trunk next to the shotgun...just in case;)

Snap this one up fellas. Every bit the knife I am carrying and looks great doing it.

Couple of ol' friends that need a bit of clean up but are otherwise ready for the next adventure.

Love the look of that antler, though.

Very nice piece. Looks SO much like a Finnish Leuku blade form and handle. Both handsome and capable. Really interesting that half way around the world two knives evolve so much the same.

In biology the term would be: parallel evolution, which occurs when two independent species evolve in the same direction and thus independently acquire similar characteristics. OK...too much caffeine too early in the morning. lol

It is very Finnish. The Himalayan Imports online store describes the Kumar Karda like "This little puukko style knife is both beautiful and functional". Mine is not as pretty and this one but I still love her. It is right at 10".

Here is a picture in the hand to give some size reference.

Everyone needs to get a Kumar Karda at some point.

If I wasn't worse than poor now for a little bit I'd be scooping this one up. She's a beauty.

Someone got a geat deal. Tamela loved hers, and I use mine as the camping/hike knife.
Heavy enough to chop if you have to, small enough for cooking/cleaning duty.
