Thank you, Yangdu!

Andy

Pls add the Lok bowie to that order, too!

Thanks again!

That vojpouri is nice looking. :)

I can definitely vouch for it - I have an 18" 37oz version by Sher (the tiger). I came up to visit my dad in BC for the winter and brought it along. While on a hike looking for an Xmas tree, I entertained myself by hacking at 7-8" thick, 15' tall, standing (but dead) pines. It was a good -15C below and the trees were frozen SOLID. Even so, the Vojpure made short work of them. I think I managed to down 3 or 4 of them (not counting the shrubs and various branches I was hacking at for fun) before really tiring out (breathing nothing but cold air does a number on you). My pops was amazed and said that I downed the things faster than what he's seen (more experienced) people do with hatchets. I might have gotten him hooked as he's considering purchasing one ;)

I love the R-10 being posted after the day I spent all the christmas money...well...maybe2010 will bring better luck.

Happy new year! Is most of the weight in that beefy handle? How does it balance? Inquiring minds want to know... :D

Well the handle is beefy, but still fine for getting a good grip around - this in reference to the 18" version and coming from someone who's quite tiny at 5'5 and 110lbs :p. I'm guessing most people wouldn't have a problem gripping that 15" version.

Anyways, if I had to describe the Vojpuri with one term, it would be ax-like. I say this for two reasons:
1)The balance is very forward on it (at least when compared to my 15" AK and 18" M43). I'd attribute this to the relatively broad blade and spine thickness (a bit over 1/2").
2) The bevels/fullers is very similar to most axes: the cutting edge is convex and the back portion is sort of flares out in a concave manner. This makes it absolutely amazing for splitting and batoning wood. What I just said might be hard to visualize, so here's a rough sketch of what I mean:

I've always liked the description of kukris being a cross between large knives and axes so for those looking for something leaning a bit more towards an ax than a large knife, I'd definitely recommend the Vojpuri

ANDREW! You lucky son of a gun...That Lok bowie would have been mine if not for workin a double...great snag brotha!!
