Endura 3

Anyone know where I can find an Endura 3? I've only been able to find 1 on eBay and it was ~$125 which I thought was a little expensive; is that price to be expected?

It depends on how much a person is willing to spend. I bought a brand new in the box collector numbered version with the letter and all for much less than that. Finding one may prove to be a fun endeavor, but since they are long discontinued it might be a lengthy process.

A pacific salt is very close, even has the hollow ground saber grind. Only real difference is the ugly tip on the salt.

All things being considered, the current Endura 4 is a much better knife. Unless you are collecting Enduras, I dont see a reason to own one of the older models. However, I have seem quite a few of them at gunshows and such over the years. I didnt think they were that uncommon. I have a couple of them that Im going to do wave mods on when I get around to it.

In my opinion, the only downside to the E4 is the blunted blade tip. I'm guessing that Spyderco had issues with hard use Enduras and Delicas. The older blade had a nicer profile.
