Endura 4 disassembly question

I've got a Endura 4 with stainless steel handles and I was curious if there is any way to disassemble it. I can't see any way to take it apart as there are no exposed screws or studs of any type but thought maybe one of you would know if it's possible.

Thanks in advance!

Nope. Not possible short of prying it in two.

At least, if it's the same as my Delica.

I like the saber grind on that blade better than the full flat grind on my G-10 Endura and thought I'd see if the blades would swap. Sounds like I'll have to just have to pick up another Endura with screw together construction(probably one with FRN handles since they're cheaper) and see if that'll swap out.

Yeah, thats what your gonna have to do. I know people who have swapped the blades of G-10 and FRN Delica's and it worked fine. Good luck though.

I see. Pay close attention to the lock up when swapping the blades. It may require a bit of hand tuning to ensure full lock up safety.

I can tell you now that they wouldn't, at least not both ways. The pivot pin is smaller in diameter on the SS version than it is on the FRN and G-10 version, so the blade would have to be redrilled. Doing that can easily throw the lock geometry off, rendering the blade unusable. The blade on the SS model is also hollow saber grind, where the one on the FRN version is flat saber grind, just so you will know.

It worked!

The only modifictation I had to do was on the lock bar(don't know if thats what it's called). It was a little longer on the FRN one and wouldn't slide pass the backspacer on the G-10 Endura so I had to sand a little off to get it to depress fully. I had to use the lock bar off the FRN Endura because the one on the G-10 Endura wouldn't lockup fully with the new blade, I guess they're hand fit to match perfectly with the blade.

Now I have a G-10 Endura with a saber ground blade and a FRN Endura with a FF blade. Both have 100% solid lockup and absolutly no blade play.., I'm happy!!

It seems on the two I have that they're exactly the same part. I don't know maybe I just got lucky but they both swapped out perfectly.

FRN and G-10 models use the same pivot, the stainless steel model does not. Usually you need to keep the lockbar with the blade it came with.
