hey folks i was checking the local dealers for buying an endura 4 and what i see is nylon(or teflon ) washers in the blade instead of pb.well in spyderco forums they sad this is a probably a early production mistake. i think they are nylon cus i didnt saw a orange stuff at the pivot when i looked from pocket clip holes.
and my question is the nylon washers is gonna differ from pb? like developing side to side play or get damaged after use? well it is smooth(i consider it as a lockback) so np with smoothness.
and if someone can post a pic of endura 4 so i can decide what i saw from holes.(but i can easily saw pb in my meadowlark)

The endura/delica 4 use PB washers.

it is possible to post a pic from holes? or can u discribe the colour? :D dark orange or light maybe transperent...

How can you see the washers without dis assembly? You cant see the washers through the clip holes.

from the holes at the pivot point that u put pocket clip screws.i can see washers of all my spydercos from there:D

The washers on a Tenacious are visible through the clip screw holes near the pivot, but the washers on an E4 are not. The design is different, the holes are further from the pivot centerline. You are seeing the tang of the blade, plus any lube and/or dirt that is in there.

OH GOD! thats a one nice answer man. i was checking the tenacious and say well i can see the washers :D ok what i saw is blade tang :D thanks alot and 1 more;
im able to handle the knife before buying it so if it locks tight( especially up and down when u cut sth with pushing) it can develop it after use or stay same? (of course some stick sharpening or pruning little branches but dont think there are gonna be a problem)

The Endura is a lockback. All lockbacks experience a small amount of up-down play when pushed hard, but this is not a real problem. The blade play should remain constant for many years, with almost zero lateral play unless the pivot screw loosens, in which case you need to remove it, clean it, and reinstall it with blue Loctite to keep it from loosening. I have not had to do this to any of my Spydercos, so you ought to be fine so long as you do not abuse the knife. The Endura is a great knife and a great value. It is a good idea to glance at the notch in the blade tang every day or so and pick out any pocket lint with a pin or toothpick. Do this with the knife folded. Impacted lint can prevent a lockback from locking open.

yes clean my meadowlark same way as u said.endura is a classic in knife community so i will try it(i will buy it for 90 $ :( )my only fear is sharpening vg-10. i can barely put a shaving sharp(not hair poping) edge ona 8cr13mov by freehand .but lansky sharpening system on the way(1 month LoL)
